Popular Nigerian media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu, has spoken out about his exit from The Honest Bunch podcast.
His departure followed a controversial episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who claimed that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men.
In response, VDM accused Nedu of orchestrating the claims against him and even alleged that Nedu had been trying to get him on the podcast since 2024, offering to buy him a car as an incentive.
After VDM’s allegations, Nedu announced he was leaving The Honest Bunch, leading to speculations that he had been fired. However, during a recent press briefing in Lagos, Nedu clarified that he was not dismissed.
He explained that his decision to step away was due to personal attacks and to ensure the podcast could continue without distractions.
“I want to make it clear that I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast. I chose to step back when the attacks became personal, so the show can go on,” Nedu stated.
His clarification puts to rest rumors about his exit and confirms that he made the choice to leave on his own terms.
