BREAKING: Senator Natasha grounds plenary over seating arrangement

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, disrupted the Senate session on Thursday after discovering that her seat had been changed without her approval.

The Senate was in the middle of proceedings under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio when Senator Mohammed Ali Monguno, the Chief Whip, raised a point of order. He pointed out that Senator Natasha’s new seating arrangement was improper.

Before Monguno could finish speaking, Natasha reacted strongly, leading to a heated argument. The Sergeant-at-Arms surrounded her, attempting to escort her out of the chamber. Despite Senate President Akpabio’s efforts to calm the situation, Natasha demanded an explanation for the change in her seat.

To regain control, the public address system was turned off, and eventually, order was restored.
