Nigerian footballer Nelson Abiam has officially joined Enyimba from Kano Pillars. The talented defender made the switch to the People’s Elephant after struggling to secure regular playing time this season.
Abiam, who is 23 years old, played seven league matches for Kano Pillars since joining at the start of the season. Despite his limited appearances, he had an impressive record last season with Doma United, scoring five goals as a center-back.
His performances at Doma United earned him a spot in the home-based Super Eagles squad that helped Nigeria qualify for the 2024 African Nations Championship.
Now at Enyimba, Abiam hopes to revive his career and make a strong impact with the team. Fans will be eager to see how he strengthens the club’s defense in the NPFL.
