Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has officially left YBNL Nation, the record label owned by Olamide.

Fans had speculated about his departure, but Asake confirmed it by releasing his new song, Why Love, under his own record label, Giran Republic.

Earlier this year, Asake showed respect to Olamide in his song Military, dismissing rumors of a fallout between them.

He originally joined YBNL in February 2022 and later signed a distribution deal with Empire in July 2022.

Even though Asake is no longer with YBNL, he still maintains his partnership with Empire. His move to establish Giran Republic marks a new chapter in his music career.
