The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has taken steps to restore police stations that were attacked and damaged by unknown gunmen.
To achieve this, he is working closely with community leaders and other stakeholders.
As part of his efforts, CP Danjuma visited several police divisions in different local government areas (LGAs) of Imo State.
His goal is to boost the confidence of police officers, improve security, and ensure police services are fully restored.
According to the spokesperson of the Imo State Police Command, DSP Henry Okoye, the police commissioner’s visits covered divisions in Obowo, Ehime Mbano, Isiala Mbano, and Aboh Mbaise LGAs.
These divisions had been previously attacked, affecting security operations in the areas.
During his visit to Aboh Mbaise, CP Danjuma met with the local government chairman, Henry Alaribe Iheukwumere, and other key figures to discuss strategies for maintaining security.
He emphasized the need for community vigilante groups to work alongside the police to build trust and ensure peace.
At the Obowo Divisional Headquarters, CP Danjuma inspected the ongoing renovation work and reassured residents that the station would soon be ready to provide essential services.
He also promised that more resources would be provided to strengthen security operations in the area.
In Ehime Mbano, CP Danjuma met with the LGA chairman, Uche Nwadu, to discuss plans for repairing damaged police stations.
He used the opportunity to encourage local communities to support the police by working together to prevent crime.
The police commissioner also expressed gratitude to the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, for his continuous support in enhancing security in the state.
With these efforts, the Imo State Police Command aims to rebuild trust, restore damaged stations, and improve overall security for residents.
