The body of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who was declared missing, has been found in a decomposing state.

Security operatives discovered the lawmaker’s body at the 2nd Niger Bridge on Thursday morning.

The police confirmed the news, with the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that officers were present at the scene. He promised to provide more details as the investigation continues.

Hon. Azuka, who represented Onitsha I North constituency, was kidnapped by gunmen on December 24, 2024. Reports say he was abducted on Ugwunaobankpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha, while returning home.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
