In Ogun State, Amotekun security operatives have arrested a man, Ramoni Abiodun Segun, in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Adijat.

The tragic incident occurred at Segun’s residence in the Odoraboyejo area of Ijebu Igbo.

On the evening of February 3, 2025, Segun brought Adijat to his home. The following morning, she complained of severe stomach pain and later became unconscious. Sadly, Adijat passed away early on Tuesday, February 4.

A distress call from an anonymous source alerted Amotekun officers, who immediately responded to the scene.

Segun was arrested for questioning, and he explained that Adijat had been suffering from stomach pain throughout the night. He believed the pain caused her death.

Segun has been transferred to the Ijebu Igbo police for further investigation.

The authorities are now looking into the cause of Adijat’s death and have called on anyone with additional information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
