Boko Haram “nightmare” ACP Fika is dead

ACP Dauda Buba Fika, an important officer in Nigeria’s efforts against Boko Haram, has sadly passed away. He died on Tuesday afternoon at the National Hospital in Abuja at 3:30 PM.

Fika was instrumental in several military operations that helped reclaim towns in Yobe and Borno states from Boko Haram. He served as the Commander of Mopol 41 and led joint security operations that weakened Boko Haram’s hold in these areas. One of his key achievements was leading the mission that freed his hometown, Fika, from insurgent control.

In 2017, during an operation in Yobe State, Fika was shot and severely injured. He spent a long time receiving medical care for these injuries before his death. His efforts and bravery in the fight against Boko Haram will always be remembered.
