Fans Celebrate As Bob Marley’s Song One Love Feat Wizkid, Bloody Civilian Wins Grammy

Fans of Wizkid are celebrating after One Love, a song by the late reggae icon Bob Marley featuring the Nigerian star, won a Grammy.

The song was part of an album that won the Best Reggae Album category at the 67th Grammy Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Another Nigerian artist, Bloody Civilian (real name Emoseh Khamofu), also contributed to the album with a rendition of Natural Mystic.

The album, inspired by the movie One Love, includes new versions of Bob Marley’s famous songs like Natural Mystic, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds, One Love, Redemption Song, and Is This Love. It was released in February last year by Island Records.

The album competed against strong nominees, including:

  • Evolution by The Wailers
  • Never Gets Late Here by Shenseea
  • Take It Easy by Collie Buddz
  • Party with Me by Vybz Kartel

Winning the Grammy is a huge moment for reggae fans and Nigerian music lovers, who are excited to see their favorite artists featured in an award-winning project.
