In a recent incident in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, another fake lawyer has been apprehended. Godspower Ogoba, a suspected fraudster, was caught by members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), led by David Omage. The arrest took place on January 29, 2025.

Ogoba was found in a business center on Ufuoma Street in Ovwian, where he was preparing a legal document—a Deed—using the names and seals of two lawyers. One of these lawyers, Samson Ugbogbo, is deceased, while the other, Jonathan E. Eguaveon, is currently in the United States. Ogoba was charging N5,000 for the Deed concerning a property worth N5.5 million.

After his arrest, Ogoba was handed over to the police and is now in custody at the Ovwian Police Station. This arrest follows a similar one that occurred just two weeks earlier in the same area, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat fake legal activities in the region.
