Nigerian activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has spoken out in defense of legendary singer 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) after he faced backlash following his announcement about divorcing Annie Idibia.

The activist responded to Toke Makinwa’s public criticism of 2Baba, labeling her comments as unfair and one-sided. Toke had accused the singer of being insensitive for discussing his marital problems publicly, calling it a poor choice.

However, VeryDarkMan argued that Toke and others criticizing 2Baba were ignoring the bigger picture. He emphasized that both 2Baba and Annie Idibia were responsible for the breakdown of their marriage. According to him, Annie had overlooked red flags in their relationship and was deeply fixated on 2Baba, which also contributed to their struggles.

The activist questioned the double standards in how people judge marital issues, urging critics to avoid placing all the blame on one person. He maintained that the situation was far more complicated than outsiders might understand.
