EPL: Gary Neville urged to consider replacing Amorim at Man Utd

Des Lynam, the former Match of the Day host, has called on Manchester United legend Gary Neville to consider returning to management and replacing Ruben Amorim as the club’s manager.

Lynam believes Neville is still the best option for Manchester United, despite his last managerial role ending back in 2016. The club is struggling this season, sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, and Amorim recently stated that the current squad may be one of the worst in the club’s 147-year history.

Despite these challenges, Lynam thinks Neville could help turn things around. In an article for The Telegraph, Lynam wrote, “Neville would still be the best man for the job. He has Manchester United blood running through his veins. He is deeply hurt by the club’s current situation. He has a strong personality and would be a powerful presence in the dressing room.”

Neville, who retired as a player in 2011, had a brief stint as a manager with Spanish club Valencia in 2015, but it ended after just four months. Since then, Neville has become a well-known pundit for Sky Sports and has pursued business ventures. Lynam has been urging Neville to return to management for several years, and he still believes Neville is the right man for the job at Old Trafford.
