Tinubu appoints board chairpersons, CEOs for 42 federal organizations [Full List]

President Bola Tinubu has appointed chairpersons and CEOs for 42 federal organizations. This includes assigning a secretary to the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board.

According to a statement by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, the appointments also cover a new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a director-general for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI). The statement emphasized that these appointees must not interfere with the organizations’ daily management, as their roles are non-executive.

The appointments are effective immediately.

Key Appointments:

  • National Youth Service Corps (NYSC): Hon. Hillard Eta (Cross River)
  • Nigerian Institute of International Affairs: Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi (Lagos)
  • Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria: Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano)
  • Nigerian Railway Corporation: Dr. Kayode Isiak Opeifa (Lagos)
  • National Sugar Development Council: Sen. Surajudeen Bashiru Ajibola (Osun)
  • National Teachers Institute: Barr. Festus Fuanter (Plateau)

Other appointments include leaders for agencies such as NIMASA, teaching hospitals, and research councils across various states.

This move reflects Tinubu’s plan to enhance leadership and governance across critical sectors in Nigeria.
