Police in Lagos State have arrested two more suspects involved in the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu. Acting on orders from Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Lagos CP Special Squad apprehended 27-year-old Agbojule Smart and 30-year-old Keleke Michael early this morning, January 24, 2025.
The suspects were caught while trying to leave Lagos State. During questioning, they admitted to being part of a four-member gang responsible for the kidnapping. The other two gang members had already been dealt with in previous operations. Police recovered ₦2,250,000, which was part of the ransom money, along with two locally made guns and 11 live cartridges.
The IGP praised the police team for their bravery and urged them to keep up their excellent work. The Nigeria Police Force reassured the public of its dedication to fighting crime and ensuring the safety and peace of citizens across the country.
