I’m available – Sowore reacts as Nigeria Police ‘moves for his arrest’

Omoyele Sowore, a popular Nigerian activist and politician, has reacted to reports that the Nigeria Police are looking for him. The news comes after he shared a viral video showing his encounter with police officers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Access Road in Lagos.

The video, which spread widely on social media, shows Sowore asking the officers to stop creating traffic on the busy road. The activist, who has been vocal about police conduct in Nigeria, didn’t hold back in his comments.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday night, Sowore revealed that the police are allegedly searching for him. He stated that he is currently in Abuja and ready to meet with them if necessary.

“I have been informed that the Nigeria Police Force is searching for me. I am currently in Abuja and available at their convenience,” Sowore wrote. He added, “It appears that the new year is about to start on a positive note! #RevolutionNow.”

Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), is known for his activism and advocacy for change in Nigeria. His bold stance on national issues has made him a significant figure in the country’s political landscape.

The public will be watching closely to see how this situation develops.
