Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has praised Kylian Mbappé as the best striker in the world after his outstanding performance in a 4-1 victory over Las Palmas in La Liga on Sunday.
Mbappé scored twice in the match, which helped propel Real Madrid to the top of the La Liga standings. Their win came after Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 loss to Leganés and Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Getafe.
The game started with Las Palmas taking the lead just 23 seconds into the match thanks to a goal from Fábio Silva. However, Real Madrid quickly responded. In the 18th minute, Mbappé converted a penalty after Rodrygo was fouled in the box. Brahim Díaz put Madrid ahead with another close-range goal, and Mbappé extended the lead with his second goal in the 36th minute. Rodrygo added a fourth goal in the 57th minute to seal the 4-1 victory.
Mbappé earned a perfect 10 rating from Sofascore for his exceptional performance, and he was named Player of the Match. After the game, Ancelotti spoke highly of his star forward, saying, “Mbappé’s great form is helping us a lot. He’s the best centre-forward in the world. His ability to lose his marker and play through the middle makes him a unique player.”
So far this season, Mbappé has scored 12 goals in 18 games, just four behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, who has 16 goals in 19 matches.
