Zenco, the billionaire real estate mogul, is pulling out all the stops for his mother’s burial, ensuring she receives a grand send-off. Cletus Oragwa, known as Zenco, is reportedly spending over ₦1 billion on the funeral, with expenses covering luxury items such as a tent, casket, and transportation services.
The burial preparations have already begun, with the tent imported from Israel at a whopping cost of ₦560 million. While some sources initially suggested the price was ₦350 million, insiders confirm the higher amount. The installation of the tent began on December 15, 2024, and is still underway as of January 8, 2025.
In addition to the tent, Zenco has enlisted Apams, Nigeria’s top funeral services brand, for the occasion. Apams’ services, which are expected to cost over ₦500 million, include a unique silver casket, a newly imported white Rolls Royce Carriage, and multiple luxury hearses. All these preparations contribute to the total burial cost, which is expected to surpass ₦5 billion.
The burial will be a week-long event held at Ukpor, Nnewi South LGA, in Anambra State. The event is expected to attract several A-list celebrities, including popular Nigerian stars like Davido, Flavour, and Mr. Macaroni. The sheer scale of the ceremony is likely to cause a total shutdown in the area, with crowds of people flocking to pay their respects.
In a gesture of support, Cubana Chief Priest, another notable figure in the entertainment industry, presented Zenco with 47 cows for the burial, a number higher than the 46 cows he gave to Obi Cubana during his own mother’s burial in Oba.
Zenco’s mother’s burial is set to be one of the most talked-about events in Anambra, with luxurious arrangements and an extravagant guest list.
