Tinubu’s Enugu visit game changer — Okupe

Former presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe has praised President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Enugu, calling it a “game changer” for the South-East. In a statement released on Sunday, Okupe highlighted how the president’s visit demonstrated his genuine affection and commitment to supporting the region’s development.

According to Okupe, President Tinubu’s speech was sincere and filled with promises for new developmental projects that will benefit the South-East. He also stated that the region deserves this kind of attention from any president with a fair mind, emphasizing that Tinubu’s gestures reflect his goodwill toward the South-East’s growth.

The former Director-General of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council also recalled the words of the late Igbo leader, Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu, who warned that a lack of political alliances between the East and West could threaten Nigeria’s unity. Okupe urged President Tinubu to keep building bridges across the country to ensure political stability and peaceful coexistence.

During his visit, President Tinubu commissioned several key projects in Enugu, including 30 smart green schools, 60 completed health centres, and upgraded roads. He also spoke on the necessity of removing the petrol subsidy, explaining that it was crucial for the nation’s future and the well-being of future generations.
