My secondary school bully now calls me big bro – Chike

Bullying is a tough experience many face during their school years, and Nigerian singer Chike recently shared a surprising twist to his own story. He revealed that someone who used to bully him in secondary school now calls him “big bro.”

Chike posted about the encounter on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. In his words:
“Person weh de bully me lowkey for school just call me big bro. By the way, e senior me.”

What made the story even more surprising was that the former bully is older than Chike.

While some fans found the story relatable and inspiring, others criticized Chike’s tone, calling it “classist.” Responding to these remarks, Chike clarified, saying, “Classism not the point. Rest.”

Chike’s story is a reminder of how time and success can change the dynamics of past relationships. Interestingly, he’s not alone in sharing such experiences. Other Nigerian celebrities, including Tiwa Savage, Tems, Kizz Daniel, and Taymesan, have also opened up about being bullied during their younger years.

This encounter between Chike and his former bully is a testament to personal growth and transformation. It also highlights how roles can shift over time, with those once looked down upon rising to positions of respect and admiration.
