Two pastors from the Brethren Church in Nigeria (Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria, EYN), Rev. James Kwayang and his Secretary, Rev. Ishaku Chiwar, have been safely released after being abducted last week.

Dr. Daniel Mbaya, the President of EYN, confirmed their freedom and expressed deep gratitude for the prayers and support of the church members and well-wishers. He highlighted the strength of collective prayer, emphasizing how it contributed to the safe return of the pastors.

While the church has not commented on whether a ransom was paid for their release, the pastors were taken from their base in the Malabu area of Fufore Local Government in Adamawa State.

As of now, the Adamawa State Police have not issued a statement on the release of the pastors.
