The upcoming Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United has caught everyone’s attention, including former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer. Sharing his thoughts on Sunday’s big game, Shearer strongly favors Liverpool to come out on top.

Liverpool is currently dominating the league with 45 points, holding a five-point lead over Arsenal, who drew 1-1 with Brighton last Saturday. With two games in hand, Liverpool has a chance to extend their lead to a commanding 11 points.

Shearer, speaking to BetFair, pointed out Manchester United’s vulnerabilities. “If United play as poorly as they did in the first 30 minutes against Newcastle, fans have a lot to worry about,” he said.

Despite United’s ability to defend deep and counter-attack, as seen in their win against Manchester City last month, Shearer believes Liverpool’s current form is too strong to overcome. “This Liverpool team is playing at a different level this season. I don’t see any other outcome than a Liverpool win, with them scoring several goals,” he added.
