A wedding celebration in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State has turned into a heartbreaking tragedy. The bride is accused of poisoning the food served at her wedding reception, leading to the groom’s critical illness and the death of a guest.

The shocking incident has left the local community in disbelief. Eyewitnesses suggest the bride’s actions may have been fueled by a personal grudge, but the full details are yet to be confirmed.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Jigawa State, Shi’isu Adam, confirmed the report and stated that an investigation is ongoing. “We received a report that the bride tainted the food served at the wedding reception, leaving the groom critically ill,” Adam said.

Two suspects, the bride and another female accomplice, have been arrested. Both are currently in custody and are being interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Jigawa State Police Command.
