We attempted to stop 2Face from womanising – Kenny Ogungbe

Kenny Ogungbe, the CEO of Kennis Music, has revealed how the record label made efforts to keep iconic singer 2Face, also known as 2Baba, from being involved with many women during his time with the label.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Ogungbe explained that 2Face, in his early career, attracted a lot of attention from women. To protect him, the label strictly managed his interactions and kept him away from the women seeking his attention.

“When 2Face was with us, we made sure he didn’t meet the women who were always coming around. But after he left Kennis Music, there was nothing more we could do,” Ogungbe said.

He further shared that even when 2Face became the subject of jokes by comedians for his romantic escapades, he didn’t step in, stating, “He’s a grown man. Every man has his responsibilities to bear.”

During the height of his career, 2Face was often in the headlines for fathering children with several women before eventually marrying Annie Idibia in 2012.

Kennis Music’s efforts may not have completely stopped the singer’s lifestyle, but they played a role in managing it during his early years in the industry.
