Joe Igbokwe, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commended former President Muhammadu Buhari for creating a solid foundation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build upon.

According to Igbokwe, claims that Buhari failed as a leader are unfounded. He insisted that Buhari’s contributions to the nation are visible and are now yielding results under Tinubu’s leadership.

In a Facebook post, Igbokwe wrote:
“Let no one think that Muhammadu Buhari is a failure. Forget such thoughts. He laid the strong foundation that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is building on today. The results are visible for all to see.”

Igbokwe’s statement comes amidst contrasting opinions. Babafemi Ojudu, a former Special Adviser on Political Matters, recently described Buhari as a leader who lacked vision. He argued that Buhari’s lack of foresight influenced his decision not to support former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential ambition.

However, Ojudu also acknowledged Buhari as a patriotic and incorruptible leader, highlighting his integrity during his time in office.
