The Nigerian Police Force, Plateau State Command, has dismissed claims of investigating the alleged theft of N180 million from an NGO owned by Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), a social media personality and critic.

VDM had shared a video on Friday alleging that N180 million was stolen from his NGO’s account through a hack on the NGO’s website. He also claimed that a suspect had been arrested in Jos, Plateau State, regarding the incident.

The video quickly gained attention online, drawing mixed reactions. However, when questioned on Saturday, Alfred Alabo, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, denied any knowledge of the case, advising reporters to contact the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command instead.

Similarly, the FCT Command spokesperson stated they were not aware of the situation.

For now, it remains uncertain if the alleged incident has been formally reported or if investigations are underway.
