Social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has claimed that hackers stole over โ‚ฆ180 million from his NGOโ€™s account.

In a video posted on Instagram on Friday, Otse explained that the money was moved to an unknown account without authorization.

โ€œI havenโ€™t been myself lately,โ€ Otse admitted. โ€œSomeone hacked into the NGOโ€™s website and took โ‚ฆ180 million. Thankfully, weโ€™ve identified the suspect, and one person has already been arrested.

โ€œThe account has been placed on Post No Debit (PND). Out of โ‚ฆ180 million, โ‚ฆ20 million is still there, while โ‚ฆ160 million was transferred. We are now heading to Jos to recover the stolen money.โ€

Otse also mentioned that the NGOโ€™s app has been temporarily shut down for maintenance to avoid further security issues. He promised to keep supporters updated on the recovery process.

In October, Otse launched his NGO, the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative. It quickly raised over โ‚ฆ35 million in donations, with music producer Don Jazzy adding โ‚ฆ100 million to the fund.
