A lawmaker from Anambra, Justice Azuka, was kidnapped on December 24 while driving home along Ugwunapampa Road in Onitsha. The incident happened during an ongoing security operation in the area.

The police, working from the Inland Town Division, later found Azuka’s vehicle abandoned on Upper Iweka Road. SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police, confirmed the discovery and stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has instructed the rescue team to increase their efforts in finding and rescuing Azuka.

The authorities are continuing their search to bring the lawmaker back safely. The investigation is ongoing, and police are hopeful for a quick resolution.
