Governor Charles Soludo has officially signed the ₦607 billion 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a major step in his administration’s efforts to transform Anambra State. The budget, called “Changing Gears 2.0,” focuses on making Anambra a modern, prosperous, and more livable place for its citizens.
The budget is designed around five key areas: Security and Law Enforcement, Human Capital Development and Social Welfare, Environmental Protection, Good Governance, and Infrastructure Development. With a 48% increase from the 2024 budget, the administration is prioritizing the improvement of infrastructure, economic growth, and social welfare.
Out of the total ₦607 billion, 77% (₦467.5 billion) is allocated to capital expenditure, which includes investments in infrastructure and development projects. The remaining 23% (₦139.5 billion) will be used for operational costs.
Governor Soludo highlighted that this budget demonstrates the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centered leadership. He expressed confidence that it will lead to long-term growth and prosperity for Anambra State.
The Governor also thanked the Anambra State House of Assembly for their hard work in passing the budget. With the support of all stakeholders, he believes Anambra will continue to move forward as a model of good governance, equity, and development.
