Nigerian actress and influencer May Edochie has taken a strong stand against comedian Chidi Uzoma, popularly known as Baba De Baba, for allegedly defaming her on Facebook.

May, who began her acting career this year, accused Baba De Baba of making false and damaging claims about her. According to a letter from her lawyer, the comedian alleged that she prefers women over men in private and recently traveled to Ghana with female friends to seek out men for intimate relationships.

The accusations did not stop there. Baba De Baba also claimed that May Edochie is HIV-positive and reportedly warned men in Ghana to avoid her. These statements have led the actress to demand a public apology and the removal of all defamatory posts about her from his Facebook page. She has given him a deadline of Sunday, December 15, 2024, to comply.

However, Baba De Baba has responded, stating that while he is willing to apologize, he will not remove all the posts. He explained that someone else manages his Facebook account, which makes the process of deleting content more time-consuming. Additionally, he claimed that fans of May Edochie, known as “May Nation,” have been targeting Judy Austin and Yul Edochie in a similar manner.
