The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, visited Maiduguri to boost the morale of soldiers fighting terrorism and insurgency in North-East Nigeria. His visit, on December 7, 2024, focused on encouraging the troops of Operation HADIN KAI to intensify their efforts to restore peace in the region.
While addressing officers and soldiers at the Theatre Command Headquarters, General Oluyede emphasized his commitment to improving their welfare and providing the necessary resources to strengthen their operations. He urged them to remain disciplined, focused, and determined in their mission to end terrorism.
During his visit, the COAS toured the 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital, where he met with injured soldiers undergoing treatment. He reassured them of the Army’s dedication to ensuring their full recovery with quality medical care.
In addition, the General inspected the ongoing construction of the 7 Division Headquarters Complex and assessed repaired combat equipment to ensure the troops have reliable tools for their operations.
The visit demonstrates the Nigerian Army’s dedication to supporting its personnel and achieving lasting peace in the North-East region.
