Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, famously known as Blaqbonez, recently opened up about his personal life and career during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
In the conversation, Blaqbonez revealed a deeply personal aspect of his childhood, sharing that his father abandoned him at birth. He said, “My dad kind of dipped when I was born, so he wasn’t there. I wasn’t raised by my dad.”
Despite facing this early hardship, Blaqbonez has risen to become a prominent figure in African music. During the interview, he confidently declared himself “the best rapper in Africa,” claiming that no other African rapper has a better discography than he does.
This isn’t the first time Blaqbonez has received such recognition. Last year, award-winning Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae referred to him as the best rapper in Nigeria, further cementing his reputation in the music industry.
With his confidence and talent, Blaqbonez continues to push boundaries, proving that his past doesn’t define his future.
