The Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps (LSNSC) has shown its commitment to keeping Lagos safe by arresting two armed robbers in Ogolonto, Ikorodu.
The incident happened early in the morning when residents of Oba Sekumade Road raised an alarm about a robbery in progress. The LSNSC officers acted swiftly, arresting two suspects: 24-year-old Adeola Omosebi and 20-year-old Yusuf Faruk. Unfortunately, a third gang member managed to escape.
Further investigations revealed that Yusuf Faruk had been invited from Mushin to join the gang. The suspects admitted that they were paid ₦6,000 by the person buying the stolen tricycles, who also operates from Mushin.
The two suspects are now in police custody, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the runaway gang member and their sponsor.
Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, commended the officers for their quick response. He also advised Lagos residents to stay vigilant as the holiday season approaches. He reassured everyone that the agency remains committed to ensuring safety, as directed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
