Early Morning Fire Blaze Destroys Trademore Estate Market in Abuja

A fire broke out early Monday morning at the Trademore Estate market, located off the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Airport Road in Abuja. While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, many residents suspect that it was triggered by an electrical fault.

Joe, a local resident, was woken up by the fire at around 4 a.m. and described the situation as very tense. He immediately alerted others, and efforts to contact the fire services were made. Though reaching the Federal Fire Service and FCT Fire Service was initially unsuccessful, residents managed to get in touch with the fire service at Dunamis Church.

Firefighters from the EFCC and Sauka stations responded around 5 a.m. and worked together to put out the fire. After two hours of effort, the flames were extinguished. Thankfully, no lives were lost, and the situation was contained before it could spread further.
