Popular Nigerian show promoter, PaulO, has responded strongly to human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, after Deji made claims that Burna Boy was involved in the re-arrest of singer Speed Darlington.

On November 26, 2024, Deji Adeyanju posted on social media that his client, Speed Darlington, had been arrested again by police officers in Owerri, Imo State. He also stated that Burna Boy was behind the police harassment of his client.

However, further details later revealed that Speed Darlington had been arrested for jumping bail, and not because of any involvement from Burna Boy.

PaulO, reacting to the news, questioned Deji’s statements, calling on him to get his facts straight. He also advised Deji to show more respect to Burna Boy. PaulO went on to label Deji as a “social media lawyer,” referring to his tendency to make public claims without solid evidence. He also urged Deji to better manage his client, Speed Darlington, who has been known for creating public drama.

PaulO’s response has sparked reactions, with many supporting his call for truthfulness and respect in dealing with sensitive matters. Deji has yet to respond to the criticism.
