Lagos Environmental Taskforce Arrests 53 Suspected Drug Dealers

The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce has arrested 53 individuals suspected of being involved in drug dealing and use. The operation, which took place today, targeted several known hotspots in the city, including 31 Road Junction, Bless Jah Street, Adenle Crescent, Owo Omo Osho Street in Gowon Estate, and Okunola Road in the Mosan-Okunola area of Alimosho LGA.

After conducting thorough surveillance in these areas, which had become notorious for drug-related activities, the Taskforce carried out a sting operation. During the raid, they seized a range of illicit substances, including Colorado, substances believed to be Kanedian Loud Hemp, Tramadol capsules, Codeine syrups, and drug paraphernalia such as weighing scales and Indian hemp crushers. Other items like knives were also found with the suspects.

The arrested individuals will be charged in court as part of the state’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to drug abuse and trafficking.
