On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, announced the suspension of Engr. Hadi Ahmed, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). The reason behind the suspension was not disclosed by the Minister.

According to a statement by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka: “The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, has been suspended indefinitely.

“According to a statement on Thursday, by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, the suspension of Engr Hadi Ahmad is with immediate effect”.

Following the suspension, Engr. Hadi Ahmed has been instructed to hand over his responsibilities to the Director of Engineering Services at the FCDA. This move marks a significant change in the management of the agency, although further information regarding the suspension is yet to be provided.
