Nigerian Government Working Tirelessly to Address Insecurity – Minister

The Nigerian government is facing serious security challenges, but it is actively working to tackle them. Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo shared that top security officials are fully committed to improving the safety of the country. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, he revealed that the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru, and Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa are all working tirelessly to address the situation.

“Nobody is resting. We are all focused on this issue,” Tunji-Ojo stated. He emphasized that the government is taking full responsibility for ensuring the safety of Nigerians and that they are not taking the matter lightly.

Tunji-Ojo highlighted that since President Bola Tinubu took office, there have been improvements in the country’s security situation. He noted that the military has made significant progress in weakening groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP. Despite this progress, he acknowledged that there is still much work to be done.

The minister also commented on a recent attack by a new terror group in Sokoto and Kebbi States. He reassured Nigerians that President Tinubu is fully aware of the security challenges and is committed to addressing them. Tunji-Ojo urged the public not to judge the government based on words alone but to focus on the actions being taken.

While challenges remain, the minister assured the public that the government is making steady progress in securing the country. The Nigerian government is determined to protect its citizens and continue efforts to improve security.
