In Anambra State, a tragic incident unfolded when a young man lost his life in a confrontation with police officers over a mere N100. The event happened at a checkpoint in the Otuocha area of Anambra East Local Government.

Reports suggest that the young man and the police officers got into an argument over N100, though it’s unclear whether the dispute was about a bribe request or an outstanding payment. Unfortunately, during the argument, one of the officers pulled the trigger, fatally wounding the young man.

Eyewitnesses captured the aftermath on video, which quickly circulated, causing widespread outrage and fear in the community. The police team involved was reportedly led by an officer named Onyebuchi, who, along with his team, had been stationed at the checkpoint.
