In a recent live chat on Instagram, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels shared her unique love story and the challenges she faced to marry her husband, billionaire Ned Nwoko. Regina disclosed that her mother and the rest of her family initially opposed her marriage because of the 38-year age gap between her and Ned, who is now 62 years old.

The couple, who got married in 2019, now has two children. But Regina’s path to happiness was not straightforward. During the conversation, she revealed that she first met Ned in a surprising way. She was out sightseeing with one of her former boyfriends when she unexpectedly crossed paths with the man who would become her husband. “I went to visit my boyfriend and wasn’t thrilled about going sightseeing, but then I met this charming man,” she recalled, smiling.

Reflecting on the twist of fate, Regina humorously added, “The lesson here is that having a boyfriend shouldn’t stop you from meeting your husband.” Addressing ongoing rumors, Regina also cleared up speculation that her mother forced her into the marriage. Instead, she clarified that her mother and other family members were initially against the idea. “People assume my mum pushed me into it, but they don’t know she was actually against it. My whole family said no,” she explained.

Despite these obstacles, Regina stayed true to her feelings and has since built a happy family with Ned. Her story highlights the importance of following one’s heart, even when others may not fully understand or support the decision.
