Father and Native Doctor Arrested in Enugu for Alleged Conspiracy and Murder of Son

In a shocking incident, the Enugu State Police have arrested a 67-year-old man, Uwakwe Eze, and a 48-year-old native doctor, Enuwa Odugu, for allegedly conspiring to murder Eze’s son, Chikwado Celestine Eze.

Chikwado, a 26-year-old man, had recently received a visa to travel abroad. Before his journey, he visited a native doctor’s shrine in Enugu to perform a ritual for protection. However, this ritual turned fatal. Reports of Chikwado’s tragic death quickly spread on social media last week.

According to DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the spokesperson for the police, the native doctor admitted to performing the ritual. He said that Chikwado died because he did not follow certain rules that were required for the ritual’s success. As part of the ritual, Chikwado was placed in a coffin, but he lost his life during the process.

After the incident, Chikwado was taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. His body has been moved to the mortuary, where an autopsy will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.

Both Uwakwe Eze and the native doctor are currently under police custody as investigations continue. The police have assured the public that the suspects will face charges in court once the investigation is complete.

This case highlights the dangers of superstitious beliefs and the risks involved in ritual practices. The Enugu State Police Command has urged the public to avoid such dangerous practices and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
