Doctors in Russia performed a delicate surgery to remove a large glass jar from a man’s bowel, after it was inserted during a strange and dangerous sexual act. The man, who inserted the jar into his anus, faced a life-threatening risk, as the glass could have shattered and caused serious injuries or even death.
According to hospital spokesperson Alexey Nikonov, the jar was lodged deep inside the man’s intestines. The jar could have moved further up into his bowel, which made the situation even more risky. If the glass had broken, it could have caused severe internal damage, leading to dangerous bleeding or injury to vital organs.
However, the doctors were able to successfully remove the jar in one piece, preventing any glass from shattering. Along with the jar, they also retrieved a condom and lubricant from his rectum.
Mr. Nikonov highlighted that doctors should never judge patients based on their sexual behavior, even when unusual cases like this one arise. He reminded people that doctors are there to help, not to criticize. He also reassured locals, saying that despite Russia’s strict anti-LGBT laws, everyone should feel safe seeking medical help, no matter the situation.
This case, which was reported by The Sun, also included X-ray images showing how far the jar had traveled inside the man’s body. While the incident was shocking, it serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking medical help in emergencies, even when embarrassment or fear might hold someone back.
