Two Men Arrested in Lagos with 120 Wraps of Cocaine

The Lagos State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking. Two men, suspected of dealing drugs, were arrested after being caught with 120 wraps of a substance believed to be cocaine.

The arrest was made public by the police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who shared details in a statement on Friday, September 20, 2024. According to him, the police acted on a tip-off, leading to the arrest in the Ojo area of Lagos.

The two men, identified as Sunday Nwabufor (47) from Festac and Obinna Nweke (45) from Ketu Mile 12, were taken into custody by officers from the Ojo Division on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at around 2 PM. They were found with 120 pellets of suspected cocaine, confirming their involvement in illegal drug activities.

This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the Lagos police to curb drug-related crimes in the city. With the help of informants and prompt action, law enforcement continues to ensure that Lagos remains a safer place for all its residents.

The suspects will be further investigated, and if found guilty, they will face the full weight of the law.
