Wike Blasts Fubara for Lies and Betrayal

In a recent fiery interview, Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, accused his successor, Siminalayi Fubara, of spreading false accusations and betraying his supporters. Wike, who played a significant role in Fubara’s political rise, is now expressing frustration over what he views as Fubara’s lack of gratitude and honesty.

Wike’s comments came in response to allegations that he had demanded huge sums of money—ranging from N20 billion to N100 billion—from Fubara. He vehemently denied these claims, calling them “unfair” and “laughable.” According to Wike, such accusations are part of a broader pattern of misinformation intended to tarnish his reputation.

During the interview with Channels TV, Wike emphasized his contributions to Fubara’s political career, asserting that he had played a crucial role in Fubara’s election success. He criticized Fubara for allegedly abandoning the supporters who worked hard to ensure his victory, suggesting that the current governor has failed to honor those who helped him reach office.

Wike’s comments highlight a growing tension between the former and current governors of Rivers State, with issues of loyalty, gratitude, and political integrity taking center stage.
