The Nigerian government has once again assured the nation that the ongoing issues of banditry and insurgency will soon come to an end. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, made this statement while leading a presidential delegation to Yobe State. The delegation was there to express sympathy with the people and government of Yobe over a recent attack in Mafa community.

During the visit, Edun emphasized that this act of solidarity shows the government’s dedication to solving the country’s security problems and restoring peace. On behalf of President Tinubu, he offered condolences to the families who lost loved ones and all those affected by the attack.

Also on the trip was Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser. He stated that the end of terrorism and banditry in Nigeria is very close. Ribadu commended the Nigerian army and other security agencies for their tireless efforts in fighting terrorism, particularly in the Northeast. He praised their sacrifices and assured Nigerians that the nation would soon be fully secured.

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, thanked the delegation for their visit. He said it made the people of Yobe feel that they are part of the country’s efforts to overcome these challenges. He also praised President Tinubu for his leadership during these tough times.

In a related development, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, also visited Yobe to show support. Ganduje expressed sorrow over the tragic event and reassured the people that the party stands with them through these tough times.
