A 100-level Biology student from the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) in Kogi State has confessed to ending the life of a female colleague after kidnapping her. The incident has shocked the university community and the broader public.

The suspect, identified as Jeremiah, was apprehended by the police in Kogi State. After his arrest, he led the officers to a bush where he had buried the body of Deborah, his female colleague. The tragic event has left many questioning the safety and security within educational institutions.

According to reports, Jeremiah, who is from Kaduna State, kidnapped Damilola and took her to an unfinished building. In a bid to extort money, he demanded N400,000 from her family. After they paid the ransom, instead of releasing her, Jeremiah took her life. In a video that has circulated but cannot be shared publicly, the police revealed that Damilola’s private parts were mutilated.
