WhatsApp Chat Between Suspected Killer of FUNAAB Student and Friends Surfaces Online

A chilling WhatsApp conversation involving the suspected killer of Christianah Idowu, a 300-level student from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has come to light. Christianah was kidnapped on August 19, 2024, while on her way from her home in Itaoluwo, Ikorodu, to the University of Lagos, where she was completing her industrial training.

The prime suspect, identified as Adeleye Ayomide, a 200-level Philosophy student at Olabisi Onabanjo University, was allegedly behind her abduction. After taking Christianah, Ayomide contacted her family, demanding a ransom of N3 million. Following several pleas, the family was able to raise and send N350,000, yet Christianah was not freed.

Authorities were able to trace the suspect using the bank details he provided to receive the ransom. Upon his arrest, Ayomide reportedly confessed to killing Christianah and burying her body in his family’s compound in Ikorodu.

The recently surfaced WhatsApp chat reveals Ayomide pretending to be concerned and clueless about Christianah’s abduction. In the conversation with another friend, he expressed shock when informed about the ransom demand, attempting to hide his involvement in the crime.

The screenshots of the conversation, now circulating online, offer a disturbing glimpse into the case, further fueling the demand for justice for Christianah.
