Pop icon Lady Gaga has shared that her fiancé, Michael Polansky, was introduced to her by none other than her mom. In a recent interview with Vogue, the 38-year-old singer revealed that her mother met Michael and immediately told her she had found the perfect husband for her.
Gaga admitted she didn’t expect her mom to play matchmaker. “I couldn’t believe it when my mom said, ‘I think I just met your husband,’” Gaga recalled. At first, she wasn’t ready to meet him but was surprised to discover her mom had indeed found the right person for her.
The star confirmed her engagement to Polansky while chatting with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during the Paris Olympics in July. The couple, who first sparked dating rumors after being spotted at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas in 2019, went public with their relationship on Instagram a few months later.
Though they reportedly took a break in early 2023, they rekindled their romance by August of that year. Most recently, they celebrated Gaga’s 38th birthday in March with close friends at Giorgio Baldi in California.
Gaga’s love story shows that sometimes, mom really does know best!
