A tragic incident occurred in Ogun State when a 29-year-old man, Anuoluwapo Aderemi, collapsed and died in a commercial bus. Aderemi was traveling from Papalanto Motor Park in Ewekoro, heading to Ibadan, Oyo State.
The unfortunate event took place around 7:45 pm at a filling station in Itori, Ogun State. According to the bus driver, Akeem Olorode, there were 15 passengers on board, even though the bus could seat 18. During a stop to refuel, other passengers noticed Aderemi was acting strangely and seemed to be unconscious. Despite their efforts to assist him, he collapsed and passed away inside the bus.
The spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command, Odutola Omolola, confirmed that the driver reported the case to the police. Officers from the Ewekoro Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found Aderemi and the passengers still in the bus. The deceased was identified as a resident of Ibadan, and he was taken to a state hospital in Ifo, where medical staff confirmed his death.
This sad event has caused significant distress to those involved, leaving many in shock over the sudden loss of life.
