Police Arrest Fake Doctor Operating Without License in Bayelsa

The police in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, have arrested a man named Doubara Esamasuode, who had been posing as a medical doctor without a valid license. He was running a clinic called St. Maximilian Medical Centre, located at Winners Junction in the Etegwe area of Yenagoa. The arrest was made possible due to credible information provided by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Paul Omata, from Zone 16 of the Nigeria Police Force.

When the police searched the clinic, they found several items, including syringes, drugs, hospital equipment, fake graduation photos, patient records, and over 200 copies of ultrasound reports. Esamasuode admitted to various crimes, such as pretending to be a doctor, operating an illegal medical facility, forgery, and impersonation.

The AIG emphasized the police’s commitment to protecting the public and maintaining law and order. He stated that this arrest shows that the police are serious about stopping criminal activities in the area. The investigation is still ongoing, and Esamasuode is expected to be charged in court soon.

The police are also asking the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by providing any information that could help in the fight against crime.
