Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Plans for Retirement, Hints Al-Nassr Will Be His Last Club

Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary footballer, recently shared his thoughts on retirement, hinting that Al-Nassr might be the last club he plays for. In a candid interview with the Portuguese outlet NOW, the 39-year-old star discussed his future, revealing that despite his current contract with Al-Nassr ending soon, he is not planning to retire immediately.

Ronaldo, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in February, expressed his satisfaction with his time at Al-Nassr and his enjoyment of living in Saudi Arabia. “I’m very happy at this club and feel good in this country. I want to continue playing here,” Ronaldo said. He suggested that while he’s not certain when he will retire, it’s likely he will do so with Al-Nassr.

Regarding his international career, Ronaldo mentioned that he would make a decision about leaving the national team in a spontaneous yet thoughtful manner, without giving prior notice. He also stated that he has no current plans to transition into coaching, as he hasn’t considered it as a future path.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 on a lucrative deal reported to be worth £175 million per year, following his departure from Manchester United. His time at the Saudi club has been marked by both personal and professional contentment, leading him to hint that Al-Nassr might indeed be his final football home.
